 PARAGON IS THE STATE CHAMPION!!!

"Congratulations to our Mathcounts team and their coach Mr. Begench for their FIRST PLACE in the state of Arizona. This is an amazing accomplishment meaning a lot for our school. Our student Jordan Hines got 2nd place in the state and Martin Rhey got the 5th place. Thank you to our MathCounts team for showing us that hard work pays off. Jordan Hines will be representing AZ State at the National level of MathCounts Organization.

The Official Coach of AZ State MathCounts team is Mr.Begench and four (4) out of five (5) top students are from Paragon and our sister school Sonoran. (1st place, 2nd place,4th place and 5th place) 

 

Paragon and Sonoran schools have been constantly leading ARIZONA in Math for the past couple of years. WAY TO GO PARAGON!!!

Rae Waters Visit

Arizona State Representative Rae Waters visited our school on Tuesday, October 5. She visited Paragon Science Academy classes and asked questions to our students. She also received very challenging questions by our students. She was very impressed with Paragon Science Academy's rigorous curriculum and skill-level education.

 PSA Student got the highest math score in Arizona.

Jordan Hines, PSA JH/HS student in 8th grade, received the highest math score in Arizona on national AMC-8 test. Congratulations Jordan and way to go PSA! 

Noetic Math Contest

PSA has participated Noetic Learning Math Contest in October 2010. We are pleased to announce that 16 of the 2nd graders, 6 of the 3rd graders, 4 of the 4th graders and 6 of the 5th graders have been awarded "National Honor Roll" which is given to the top 10 percentile, among 4,343 students representing 262 teams. Overall 32 PSA students were awarded the "Honor Roll" in the Math Contest. Also 71 of PSA students received "Honorable Mention" for their outstanding performance in the contest.

International Sustainable World (Engineering, Energy & Environment) Project Olympiad

I-SWEEEP 2010 brought together over 1,000 brightest science like-minded students and their supervisors in Houston. Young scientists from 70 countries and 43 U.S. states displayed their 470 science projects about pressing issues of energy, engineering, and environment.Winners of I-SWEEEP not only received a medal for hard work but also scholarships and monetary awards totaling $350,000.

Our 7th grade student, Jordan Hines  represented PSA at the  the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering, and Environment) Project Olympiad (ISWEEEP)  and took 2nd place,silver medal and $300 scholarship. Congratulations to Jordan for her great work and her family for their endless support.

Paragon Science Academy has been named a “Top School” for the state of Arizona in the 2009 Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth Talent Search.  They looked at the top 100 schools by state to determine the number of student enrollments they received into their annual Talent Search, and Paragon Science Academy received this honor. Mathcounts team got the FOURTH place in the entire state in Tucson. The same team had gotten the THIRD place in city chapter a month ago.Humza Zubair, an 8th grade student, got the SIXTH place individual award among more than 150 top math students from all over the state in the same competition.

Mathcounts Competition Results

 Regional Mathcounts Competition was held in Dobson High School on Saturday, February 27. Paragon Science Academy math team participated with eight middle school students and showed a thrilling performance. The team came in 3rd place among all other schools. They made great progress compared to last year’s competition in which the team got the 6th place.      
Humza Zubair, an eight grade student, got the 2nd place in individual category among more than two hundred students.
Thanks to Mr. Isa, Mr. Ozan, and Ms. Seda, who prepared the students for the competition and all participating students for their outstanding performance and hard work throughout the year. 

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Paragon Science Academy Junior High and High School celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 24.
The ceremony started with speeches made by Dr. Argin, superintendent of Paragon Science Academy schools, John McComish, State Representative of 20th District and Bob Caccamo, the Vice-Mayor of City of Chandler.Ribbon was cut after the speeches and our Principal Mr. Ozel  gave a school tour to parents and all visitors.Paragon Science Academy Junior High and High School section moved to its own location in August and the school has been in operation since August 9.
